We’re pleased to announce that we will be hosting a free talk named ‘Simple steps for a healthier and happier workplace’ at April’s Business Agenda in Market Harborough.

Tracy Dixon-MaynardTracy Dixon-Maynard, the founding owner of Positura, will be using her experience in the area to explain to business owners how they can improve the health and wellbeing in their workplace. The free event will take place between 5pm and 6:30pm on 18th April at the Harborough Innovation Centre.

All business owners, business persons, or those interested on the topic, are able to attend the event. The talk will include practical tips and advice, as well as explain the surprising financial benefits of creating a healthier workplace.

Why creating a healthier workplace is important

In Great Britain, musculoskeletal disorders account for over 40 per cent of all work-related ill-health. These disorders obtained by employees result in days taken off from work, with more severe cases resulting in long periods.

Research has shown that companies with a healthy workplace programme could see productivity rise by up to 20 per cent, along with a reduction in absence due to work-related illness.

When people talk about creating a healthy workplace, many immediately think about promoting healthy eating plans or offering health insurance. Creating an ergonomic office may not be at the top of the list, but ergonomic changes can improve employees’ health and reduce sick days, increase productivity and profitability all while meeting the latest workplace legislation.
